She Solves Buyers Housing Problems… To succeed in the hotly competitive Real Estate field, it helps to be attuned to the needs of people and to really know your neighborhood. Marylee Nowak says it takes “heart” to provide the customer service that has helped her assist over 1250 families - buying or selling Northwest suburban homes, over the past 32+ years. She consistently ranks as one of the top-producing agents for RE/MAX in Northern Illinois. She also attributes her record to “Irish determination” to survive as a single parent with four children.

Top honors were far from her mind when she began in 1978 knocking on doors, handing out village maps and encouraging neighbors to list their homes for sale with her. While her job often required a 60-hour workweek, Nowak says her first priority was her children, Dana, Nicole, Mitch, and Brian. “I missed some soccer games,” she says. “But my family has always come first.” Being sensitive to others’ priorities, she adds, has helped match the right buyer to the right seller many times. “Selling is a service. I never lose sight of the fact that I’m here to make things easier for my customers, and to help them solve their housing problems,” Nowak says. “My customers, I feel,” she adds, “are also my friends.” - Joan Fleischer

"Marylee" Nowak has been a licensed real estate professional since 1978 specializing in the sales and marketing of homes in Hoffman, Estates, Schaumburg, Barrington, Palatine, Arlington Heights, Algonquin, Lake In The Hills, Crystal Lake, Hanover Park, Streamwood, Roselle, and most of the Northwest Suburbs.  Working in all price ranges - from first time buyers to corporate transferees and veteran investors. Marylee has sold over 1100 homes in her career.

"Marylee" believes that one of the keys to success, both for herself and her clients, is a continually updating her real estate education.  She takes classes and seminars to increase her effectiveness and has earned one of the real estate industry's most prestigious professional designations: ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative).  Nationally recognized, this designation is earned through a rigorous course of study as well as demonstrated professional experience.  It is "Marylee's" assurance to her buyers that she understands their special needs and delivers quality service aimed at helping them realize their dreams.

Personal Information
Living in the area most of her life, "Marylee" knows it like only a longtime resident can.  She is very attuned to the wants and needs of families in the area and it makes her business to be up to date on all information that might affect her buyers and sellers.  "Marylee" knows the schools, the neighborhoods, the services and benefits available, and is a valuable resource both for those new to the area as well as to those who are simply changing neighborhoods.

Prior to becoming a Realtor, "Marylee" was a Customer Service Manager for Jewel Foods, she was also a Flight Attendant for United Airlines.  Her previous work experience provided "Marylee" with important skills in management, customer service, communication, negotiation, attention to detail and organization, all of which are vital in providing excellence in service to her clients.

A single parent of four children, "Marylee" is active in the community serving on Village Commissions, is active with the Chamber of Commerce, and volunteers with a local hospital,
several charitable organizations and her church.

Accomplishments
Respected by both clients and peers alike for her knowledge and complete understanding of the real estate industry and the local market.  "Marylee" has published a Personal Promotion and Marketing Book for RE/MAX and has been a featured speaker for the Board of Realtors, RE/MAX of Northern Illinois, other RE/MAX Regions, and RE/MAX International at their Conventions.  In addition, "Marylee" was featured on the RE/MAX Satellite Network for her outstanding Marketing Techniques.

Honors
Consistently outstanding in her field, "Marylee" has received numerous awards in recognition of her exemplary performance on behalf of clients.  She has been inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and has been a member of the RE/MAX 100% Club since 1983.  "Marylee" was also nominated for Business Person of the Year by the Village of Hoffman Estates in 1989.  In the Spring of 2002, "Marylee" received the Lifetime Achievement Award from RE/MAX International.
